<DD>The Naval Historical Center is open to the public without charge. The
Center is located in the Washington Navy Yard in southeast Washington, D.C.<BR>
<BR>
<DD>There are two entrances to the Washington Navy Yard: the main gate is
at M and 9th Streets SE; a second entrance is on 11th Street SE (closed
on weekends). Both are accessible from Route 295 and the 11th Street Bridge.<BR>
<BR>
<DD>Visitors may park in either blue-lined or white-lined parking spaces.
Visitor parking is available in front of Building 57, in the museum parking
lot near the water, and in the lot opposite the Washington Navy Yard Conference
and Catering Center. There is no charge for parking. To avoid ticketing,
be sure to obtain a visitor's pass from The Navy Museum, the Navy Department
Library, or from the branch you are visiting.
