Naval Aviation News
Article Submissions
It is strongly recommended that commanding officers of aviation activities
establish a schedule within their command for the regular submission of
news items to NANews. Typical news items would be major milestones
in individual and squadron accident-free flying hours; significant numbers
of arrested landings earned by pilots, squadrons and aviation ships; noteworthy
achievements in safety, retention, human resources management, self-help
and civic activities; ship or squadron establishment or disestablishment
information; change of command information; and significant sustained outstanding
performance.
Feature stories would include longer and more detailed stories on individuals,
commands and items of more general interest, such as historical discussion
of particular battles or operations. Individual research is encouraged and,
of course, accuracy is paramount. Call the Managing Editor at 202-433-4407
to discuss feature articles before submitting.
All military contributors should forward articles about their commands
only after internal security review and with the permission of the commanding
officer.
