Researching Images and Obtainings Copies of Images in the Navy Art Collection
Most works in the Navy Art Collection are available for photographic
reproduction. To obtain a print, negative, or transparency, contact the
Art Collection by phone, mail, or fax to determine which image(s) are desired.
After the staff determines the availability of requested images, the patron
will be referred to the Curator Branch Photographic
Section for ordering information.
The Art Collection staff can only provide limited assistance in researching
images by mail, fax, or phone. These requests require a specific subject,
such as the name of a ship, person, or battle. For topics requiring extensive
research, individuals should make an appointment prior to visiting.
Due to the small staff, "drop-in" research is discouraged.
Contact the staff during weekdays office hours to arrange a research appointment.
